-----------------------------------------------------
DADS (Warren King) -
The operational DADS system is now available for OTFC and appears to be working OK, after having been down.
AT & DPT groups met to develop a procedure for DADS restarts. OTFC will be cleaned up as part of the DADS restart. This should take care of the problem with compressed files getting into the OTFC pipeline.
DADS support for the two destination pipes: otfc and nonotfc needs to be supported by the time OTFC is released externally. The reason is that we need to maintain two separate otfc pipelines: a test and an operational system. Code is in place to do this, but is untested. Some enhancements are needed to the front-end of DADS. This capability will first be tested on the DADS test system.
Action Item: Allen and Joel will work this out for a future DADS release.
Joel would like to include a feature in DADS to selectively turn off OTFC requests from specific nodes.
There was some discussion about the system behavior when OTFC is down. The plan was that raw data should be returned to the user. This does not seem to be what happened during the last time OTFC was down. Furthermore, the DADS response message to the user should state that OTFC is down, which is not currently the case.
Action Item: Warren will investigate DADS behavior when OTFC is down.
-----------------------------------------------------
OPUS (Mike Swam) - The calibration pipeline is being ported to daffy. The reference file cache is being populated from DADS.
Mike is developing the common switch rules system for OTFC. It is expected to be done by the end of May.
Steve S. will give a demo of the procedures and the OMG.
Action Item: Based on the above, Tony will further develop procedures. -----------------------------------------------------
getref/upref (Bernie Simon) - A problem was encountered with numeric values in the OKR. This has been fixed. Getref assumes that data in numeric format should not be quoted, This is consistent with the behavior of IRAF, where quotes on text fields are optional. Problems can arise if quotes are put in a numeric field.
ACTION ITEM: Bernie will investigate getref/upref for time-tagged data.
ACTION ITEM: Bernie and Ed will investigate keyword placement for switches.
-----------------------------------------------------
Change System (Lisa Gardner, Steve Lubow, & Bernie Shiao) -
Scripts are handling the updating of the internal test system on ZEPPO to emulate the automated change system.
The automatic change system needs further development.
Action Item: Lisa is to develop support for the pending datasets table.
Action Item: Lisa is to hold a code review for the tools developed to load the okr and populate DADS.
-----------------------------------------------------
STIS (Bernie Shiao, Ed Hopkins, Grace Mitchell, Melissa McGrath)
Action Item: Bernie Shiao will investigate the level of effort required to retrieve the 2700 or so WAVECAL datasets. Lisa will determine the effort required to make the database changes and the ingest process changes for WAVCALs. Since there is no short-term need to change these values, this effort is of low priority.
-----------------------------------------------------
Testing (Grace Mitchell, Melissa McGrath, Steve Lubow, Steve Slowinski)
Random testing - Steve Lubow
When OTFC was down, testing revealed that little information was returned to the user.
Regression and stress testing - No new testing.
Action Item: Steve Slowinski will carry out stress tests, including the case of requesting corrupted data.
Sylvia and Faith are testing the consistency of newly calibrated data between the initial pipeline and OTFC.
Ed is working on a tool to handle differences between the initial pipeline and OTFC data. There may be a complication when the keyword placement goes into effect. Differences will appear.
-----------------------------------------------------
Starview (Megan Donahue)
There needs to be better notification to users when OTFC is down. A message should be posted on the Starview welcome screen about this.
Action Item: In the future, the welcome screen will be updated to inform users of OTFC being down.

Schedules (Steve Lubow)
The development schedule was discussed and agreed upon. It is as follows with completion dates listed.
Future Tasks (unscheduled)
