DADS (Tony Houston) -
The operational DADS system is down. The DADS hardware is unreliable. One jukebox is undergoing some repairs and is in need of refurbishment. A refurbishment kit will be used in mid/late July. Meanwhile, problems may continue to occur.
Tony reported on statistics about DADS downtime. In April and May, DADS was down for about 200 hours. This month there have been 50 hours of down time. This level of downtime is higher than has been experienced in the past.
There will be a DADS installation this weekend.

OPUS (Mike Swam) - The calibration pipeline is operating.
Mike is developing the common switch rules system for OTFC. It is expected to be done by mid-June. Testing is going on. Mike will talk with Lisa about interfacing the rules system with the OTFC change system.
A new release of the OPUS pipeline, OTFC1.1, was delivered. A problem was found and was fixed on 6/17.
-----------------------------------------------------
getref/upref (Bernie Simon) - Nothing new
Action Item: Ed Hopkins will investigate whether this behavior can be made consistent with DADS, so OTFC processed data can be ingested.
ACTION ITEM: Bernie and Ed will investigate keyword placement for switches.
-----------------------------------------------------
Change System (Lisa Gardner, Steve Lubow, & Bernie Shiao) -
Action Item: Lisa is to develop support for the pending datasets table.
-----------------------------------------------------
STIS (Bernie Shiao, Ed Hopkins, Grace Mitchell, Melissa McGrath)
Action Item: Bernie Shiao will investigate the level of effort required to retrieve the 2700 or so WAVECAL datasets. Lisa will determine the effort required to make the database changes and the ingest process changes for WAVCALs. Since there is no short-term need to change these values, this effort is of low priority.
-----------------------------------------------------
Testing (Grace Mitchell, Melissa McGrath, Steve Lubow, Steve Slowinski)
Regression testing - little done, due to down time.
Random testing - little done, due to down time.
STIS Testing (Melissa McGrath) - A request returned 0 data. It was not clear how this could happen.
ACTION ITEM: Warren to investigate the cause.
---------------------------------------------------------
NICMOS - Some new calibration tools are available to help with the pedestal correction.
Megan Donahue and Howard Bushouse reported that these tools do improve calibration and work best when large open areas exist in the image. However, these tools cannot be applied blindly. They are not capable of performing high quality automated NICMOS calibrations. Therefore, OTFC cannot yet be used for NICMOS.
---------------------------------------------------------
Operating status (Steve Lubow) - It is hard to tell whether the system is operating, as we recently found. The Starview welcome screen informs users of planned OTFC downtimes or unplanned downtimes that are likely to last several days.
Lubow developed a tool that provides better OTFC status information and provides the info on the OTFC web page. Email can be sent to individuals who want to be informed of a status change (up to down or down to up).
--------------------------------------------------------------
Internal Release (Steve Lubow) - We plan to release the system after the current hardware problems are resolved.
