-----------------------------------------------------
DADS (Tony Houston) -
The DADS hardware is unreliable. There have been a variety of problems that have caused the system to be offline. Requests are still accepted when problems occur.
Tony investigated the cause of no STIS data being returned in some requests. This can happen if there is a drive problem when the request is being processed.
-----------------------------------------------------
OPUS (Mike Swam) - The calibration pipeline is operating.
Mike is developing the common switch rules system for OTFC. It is essentially done. A problem appeared with about 600 cases of a null keyword in the catalog. Lisa is investigating.
-----------------------------------------------------
getref/upref (Bernie Simon) - Nothing new
Action Item: Ed Hopkins will investigate whether this behavior can be made consistent with DADS, so OTFC processed data can be ingested.
ACTION ITEM: Bernie and Ed will investigate keyword placement for switches.
-----------------------------------------------------
Change System (Lisa Gardner, Steve Lubow, & Bernie Shiao) -
Action Item: Lisa is to develop support for the pending datasets table.
-----------------------------------------------------
STIS (Bernie Shiao, Ed Hopkins, Grace Mitchell, Melissa McGrath)
Action Item: Bernie Shiao will investigate the level of effort required to retrieve the 2700 or so WAVECAL datasets. Lisa will determine the effort required to make the database changes and the ingest process changes for WAVCALs. Since there is no short-term need to change these values, this effort is of low priority.
-----------------------------------------------------
Testing (Grace Mitchell, Melissa McGrath, Steve Lubow, Steve Slowinski)
Regression testing - success in running the WFPC2 and STIS regression suites.
Random testing - some mixed STIS and OTFC requests completed.
STIS Testing (Melissa McGrath) - The regression suite is being run and checked.
---------------------------------------------------------
Tools for performance and throughput monitoring (Steve Lubow) - These tools would be useful for determining the current level of system use, the performance impact of OTFC, and for making predictions about future systems configurations.
ACTION ITEM: Steve will file OPRs against DADS and OTFC.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Internal Release (Steve Lubow) - The system was released internally on 6/21. The tool to monitor the OTFC operational status is in place. It can be accessed from the OTFC web site.
